This blend brings together the best qualities from each tea to create a well-rounded, full-flavoured beverage: Assam tea offers a characteristic maltiness and strong, bold flavours, while Ceylon brings subtle sweetness and a lovely crisp bitterness.

The traditional English Breakfast tea blend is believed to have originated in the United Kingdom, but it is now popular in many countries around the world. English Breakfast teas are usually strong, robust and full-bodied, offering rich and malty flavours and a lovely bright, copper colour when brewed. With a good amount of caffeine, English Breakfast teas are ideal to be enjoyed first thing in the morning and, as they are rich in antioxidants, they have been said to have a positive effect on heart health.

Best loose leaf tea

My favourite blend is the Irish Breakfast Tea because it has a rounder fuller flavour. The leaves are larger, which I assume allows for greater emission to provide a stronger brew. This is just a personal choice of course and I appreciate that everyone has their own tastes and preferences.

From the reviews I read, I was expecting whole leaves but sadly it was like most standard brand tea leaves. Tasted fine but disappointed it was not whole leaves or big leaves
