Made from a delightful blend of Assam, Ceylon and Darjeeling, English Afternoon Tea reveals delicate, complex flavours and can be compared in flavour to the standard English Breakfast tea.

This blend brings together the best qualities from each tea to create a well-rounded, full-flavoured beverage: Assam tea offers a characteristic maltiness and strong, bold flavours, Ceylon brings subtle sweetness and a lovely crisp bitterness, and Darjeeling reveals delicate fruit flavours.

English Afternoon is delicious when prepared with a splash of milk, or black with a slice of lemon.

Very similar to Breakfast tea but the swap out of the stronger tannin flavours for the more subtle Darjeeling tea make this a great alternative when you want a more delicate tea but it is still full of flavour. We are instant converts to this tea when we don’t need that kick of flavour and mouth feel like we do first thing in the morning.

Loose Afternoon Tea

This is my 2nd batch of 250gms and just like the first, is full of flavour. I have a small teapot enough for 1 mug and my secret is 6gms tea and a slice of ginger root brewed for 3 minutes. Warm the teapot & mug with hot water first. It is seriously good.

This is my first time with tea-direct so it was a bit of a gamble but ordered 250gms afternoon tea. I was pleasantly surprised. it is a nice tea with lots of flavour. I use 8gms in a teapot for 2 mugs with a slice of ginger root which I was introduced to in Sri Lanka. Highly recommend it.
