Assam black teas are strong and full-bodied, displaying delightful malty flavours and rich, complex notes, making them ideal for use in breakfast teas. Great when prepared either black or with milk and sugar, Irish Breakfast displays rich, dark red colours, and is the perfect brew for a chilly morning.
The Irish Breakfast tea blend typically includes strong, full-bodied teas from India or Sri Lanka, such as Assam in our popular variety .While it is now popular around the world, Irish Breakfast tea is of course believed to have originated in Ireland and was popularised in the 19th century, becoming a staple in Irish tea culture.
