aged, fermented, Pu erh, Pu'er Tea, unique -

Pu erh Tea https://www.tea-direct.co.uk/products/pu-erh-tea is a Chinese speciality tea with a fascinating history thought to go back as far as the Tang dynasty. There's really no other tea quite like it; the post-fermentation and ageing processes involved in its production make it unique from others, and bring out wonderful rich and intense flavours and character, that make it appreciated the same way a fine aged wine or whisky may be. The deep, cherry blackness of its steeped leaves deliver delicious earthy and complex flavours that naturally develop over time as it mellows and improves with age, resulting in something very special and, like most good things in life, worth waiting for.

The rich, robust character and unique smoky flavour of Lapsang Souchong sets it apart from other black teas. The climate here is subtropical, and the landscape one of soaring cliffs, evergreen forests and winding rivers. The distinctive smoky taste and aroma of Lapsang Souchong is believed to have been produced by accident rather than design, but resulted in it becoming one of the world's most popular luxury teas.

Dandelion tea, medicinal tea, nutritious, tea for health -

Dandelion tea is a refreshing drink that can be enjoyed at any time of day. This caffeine-free herbal beverage is made from a plant that for centuries has been acknowledged for its medicinal properties. The dandelion's unmistakable bright yellow flowers that transform into fluffy, puff-ball seedheads, evoke childhood memories of 'dandelion clocks', and making wishes as the seeds are blown away. There are hundreds of species of dandelion, a herbaceous, perennial plant belonging to the Asteraceae family. The botanical name of the common dandelion is Taraxacum officinale; 'officinale' being indicative of its use in medicine and herbalism. The word 'dandelion' originates from the French, 'dent de lion', meaning 'tooth of lion', presumably because of the shape of its jagged leaves. The plant originates from Europe and Asia, but can now be found in many countries, including North and South America, India, Australia and New Zealand.
